Let's get ready for Olympic Games Paris 2024!
This is an academic project initiated by the Nancy-Metz English inspectors. The idea is to propose a ready-made project about the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games to 12 English teachers who are eTwinning beginners from the north-east region. 12 French schools or classes from the North-East of France will join eTwinning with this ready-made project and each of the 12 French classes will be twinned with a foreign partner. Each pair of teachers will create a Twinspace, so 12 Twinspaces altogether. But this Twinspace will be like a "model" or an "example" to help the 24 teachers. The Twinspace "model" will only be a training platform (contrary to the 12 other twinspaces created later by teachers who could then ask for a quality label at the end of their projects). The pupils will be 13 to 15 years old and the communication language will be English. This project aims at engaging students in a project around the 2024 Olympic and paralympic Games, their values, their athletes and Olympic host cities. Different collaborative activities will take place between the beginning of Dec 2023 till the end of May 2024. The final production will be a digital calendar of the Olympic Games (like an advent calendar) with varied productions from students.
