My trainingship in Codogno
Yesterday I had a lesson with pupils of the school of Codogno. We followed Flavio Augusto in his trip to Iznik and then decorated Iznik's tiles. Pupils really enjoyed it, worked in group and learned with fun. It has been a great opportunity for me to put in place what we projected at the University. Here are some photos of us during the lesson.
School Visit
We held meetings with Turkish partners.
What Made Pupils Surprised!
In our previous lesson, we have measured the distance between Iznik and Rome using Google Map.
2-3 hour distance by plane is super, isn't it? However, years ago, people had to travel these distances on foot!
The gladiator character in our story came to Iznik on foot from Rome made pupils surprised. One of them said, "Would you walk all the way?" asked. I will ask this question to my students.
At that time it was necessary to walk.. What about now..? Today, we come across people walking to draw attention to gas emissions. For example, a man who came to Istanbul from London..!!
