Integration of the eTwinning Project into the Curriculum

The project "How Does Your Final Year of High School Look Like?" can be incorporated into the high school curriculum in multiple ways, primarily in English, Civics, Informatics, and Career Guidance. Here are some specific suggestions:

1. English Language (Foreign Language)

  • Communication skills: Students will write blog posts, record podcasts, and participate in discussions with peers from other countries, helping them use English in real-life situations.
  • Writing and speaking skills: Creating infographics, presentations, and an e-book will develop both academic and creative writing skills.
  • Comparison of educational systems: This will expand their vocabulary related to education by comparing school systems, exams, and traditions.
  •

2. Civics / Career Guidance

  • Comparing educational systems: Students will learn about different school systems and post-secondary opportunities (universities, job prospects).
  • Intercultural understanding: Collaboration with peers from other countries will foster respect and openness to different cultures.
  • Discussion about the future: The project fits well into topics like "My Future After High School" or "Career Growth Opportunities."
  •

3. Informatics and Digital Skills

  • Working with digital tools: Using Canva, Padlet, TimelineJS, and Book Creator will improve students' digital competencies.
  • Online communication and safety: The project provides a structured environment for safe online collaboration and communication.
  •

Assessment and Project Outcomes:

  • Student Portfolio: Outputs such as blog posts, infographics, and videos can be part of student assessments.
  • Class Presentations: Students can summarize their experiences and findings for their classmates.
  • eTwinning Certificate: Participation in the project can be recorded in their learning portfolio.

This project can be integrated into multiple subjects while fostering key competencies such as communication, digital literacy, and intercultural skills.
