Today learner groups in partner schools are more heterogeneous than before (in terms of mother tongue, gender, ethnicity, faith, and ability. So, teachers should use the opportunities offered by new technologies to respond to the demand for individualized and distance learning and assist pupils in becoming autonomous lifelong learners. The pandemic has shown us how important it is today to master all innovative technologies that can be used in teaching, particularly distance teaching. In this perspective, a five-day ICT workshop was organized for teachers in Germany in November 2022. Three teachers from each partner organization attended it. It was monitored by a German educational technology expert. It aimed at permitting teachers to acquire the necessary skills to undertake the project activities and to be able to make innovative interactive professional lessons using digital teaching materials and ICT. Thanks to this workshop teachers have learned how to create and share documents on Google Drive, cooperate on a collaborative platform, and create innovative lessons using different kinds of new technologies such as pictures, learning objects, video, flash animation, gif animation, and sounds. They also learned how to use smartphones and tablets, and to implement a flipped classroom model, the most promising model in the future classroom. To innovate their way of teaching, teachers who attended this ICT workshop have started not only integrating the new skills they had acquired in their daily pedagogical practice with all their classes but have been sharing their new competencies locally with their colleagues. This way they can spread collaborative project-based pedagogy and the use of innovative educational tools in their respective schools.
