Green Computing for Greener Earth

With this project we want to introduce our students with the Green Computing as a major leap in mitigating environmental pollution and the impacts of climate change. We want our students to understand that Sustainable Development is connected to Green Computing. Green computing is an important aspect of discussions involving environmental protection, green energy, climate change and sustainable development and the common goal is to practice and achieve eco-friendly deployment and use of ICT in the society. Furthermore, the Green Computing is a driver of Sustainable Development because its practices and principles focus on a cleaner, safer and sustainable environment that promote the wellbeing of mankind and our planet. Apart from the introducing to the main topic of the project, this project will provide our students the development of English language skills and efficient use of technology for collaboration between partner schools.

Dear Partners, we are honoured to annouce that during the annual national etwinning ceremony it occured that our project had won the first place in its category - 'A project for students of 11-15 years old'. It was a great event and we were really proud of the achievement.

In the commentary from the competition committee, we read: "The cooperation between the partner schools was conducted at a high level. The project was planned and described very carefully—it is evident that its creators had a very concrete vision of their activities. Various work techniques were utilized with the use of applications and information and communication technologies (ICT). The intellectual outcomes deserve special recognition: online magazines on ecological topics, escape rooms, videos, and many others. The TwinSpace is very professional. The initiative stands out for its innovative approach to the subject, addressing non-obvious issues in the field of ecological activities."

The opinion above proves that we wouldn't have achieved that great success without the amazing etwinning team that we all created and without our superb founders - Iva and Bilge. Thank you a lot for all the grand effort you put into this project, it is our common success.
