FLOW: Future Life Skills Through Our Water

This project is an interdisciplinary initiative aimed at fostering students’ awareness of water as a vital natural resource while simultaneously developing essential life skills such as digital literacy, communication, problem-solving, and responsible citizenship. Implemented over the course of six months, the project combines scientific inquiry, creative expression, and international collaboration to provide students with meaningful and engaging learning experiences. The project is structured around monthly themes: • October – Getting to Know Each Other & Discovering Water: Students are introduced to one another through digital tools, participate in interactive games, and conduct simple water-related experiments. • November – Water-Friendly Habits & Citizenship: Focus shifts to responsible use of water, with students creating water diaries, posters, and digital comics that highlight conservation practices. • December – Science & STEM Water Experiments: Students engage in practical STEM activities such as water filtration and drip irrigation, presenting their work through digital platforms. • January – Games & Collaboration: Emphasis is placed on teamwork and skill development through quizzes, collaborative storytelling, and mathematical activities linked to water consumption. • February – Cultural Exchange & Joint Products: Students collaborate across countries, producing joint materials such as posters, digital puzzles, and maps, culminating in a virtual exhibition. • March – World Water Day & Final Activities: The project concludes with a joint celebration of World Water Day, the creation of personal “Water Promise” videos, the publication of a joint e-magazine, and final evaluations involving students, teachers, and parents. By integrating scientific knowledge, creativity, and technology with civic responsibility, the project seeks to cultivate environmentally conscious, culturally aware, and digitally skilled learners who recognize their role in safeguarding water for future generations.
