DECODE

Decode project aims to help students understand the importance of recycling through a journey from the past to the present. Archaeological findings provide clues about how ancient civilizations managed their waste, and within the scope of this project, these historical approaches will be linked to today’s environmental challenges. Students will compare the use of different materials (metal, glass, ceramics, organic waste, etc.) in the past and present, and develop sustainable solutions. Throughout the project, recycling workshops, upcycling designs, digital exhibitions, and intercultural sharing activities will be organized. In this way, students will both contribute to the preservation of cultural heritage and produce creative, eco-friendly solutions to today’s waste problems. The main goal of “Decode” is to learn proper waste management inspired by archaeology and to make recycling a lifestyle.
