CODE RACE @SDGs

A project among eTwinning friends that share many commons in their official curriculums and they believe that coding, programming, and ICT when collaborative is more challenging and at the same time more rewarding. International teams of students identify areas of their interest, relative to their daily life among the UN Global Goals, and use ICT tools of their option (coding, micro-controllers, 3D printing, and AI...) with creativity and critical thinking to propose solutions and promote actions for a sustainable world.

Happy Ada Lovelace Day!

Ada Lovelace Day on October 13 highlights the achievements of women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Launched in 2009 as a celebration of women in science, the event promotes programs that encourage girls and women to pursue careers in STEM.

A daughter of Lord Byron, Ada Lovelace is widely known as the first person to recognize the potential of early computers and published what is known as an algorithm. Before most others, Lovelace recognized that computers could do more than simple number-crunching, opening the door to complex functions and ushering in the modern era of computing.

"The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a global partnership. They recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests." (sourse https://sdgs.un.org/goals)

In this project

we will be informed of these Goals (SDGs)

we will discuss in forums about the role of Technology and Coding,

and we will attempt collaborative projects in our international teams to promote them and support them through ICT and Coding"
