Citius, Altius, Fortius, 2 ∞ is a historical-geographical journey through the Olympic Games, its symbols, and its impact on History, especially with the upcoming 2024 Games in Paris. The main purpose is to increase students’ motivation and interest for history gender equality and science (balance, tip to run a marathon) and citizenship (paralympic games) through sport. Students are expected to discover and investigate about different hitorical landmarks (Mandela and the movie Invictus, Kathy Freeman…), cultural references (the origins of the games, the Games in UK in 2012…), art and sport (paintings, mythological characters…), famous athetes (former and current ones, world-wide famous and/or local ones). This project aims at involving students in sports activity through cross-curricular-pedagogical work and organising a sports event at the end of the year with famous athletes. The Olympic values and its motto will be learned, presented, practiced and shared in a motivating and dynamic way involving teachers, parents and the local community.
