Building a B.R.I.G.H.T. Future
The eTwinning Project “Building a B.R.I.G.H.T. Future” is a journey of innovation and collaboration: eTwinners from different countries will select a dismissed or an abandoned area in their community and will collaborate in transnational teams to create a plan of action aimed at transforming the chosen location into a green oasis that harmoniously blends Biodiversity, Recreational and Inclusive facilities, Global sustainability, Heritage and Thrilling experiences. This project is a powerful chance for students to be involved in a service learning activity, while addressing the Sustainable Development Goals. Our students will realize how to think more creatively, become more responsible individuals, read the messages of nature correctly and determine the necessary methods. The importance of collaboration will come to life in the triangle of school, nature and online environment.Students will develop a higher awareness while performing their work, both about their social life and the nature they live in. Not only short-term, but also sustainable, not only young people but also old age, not only healthy but also disabled, in short, our students will show a strong and unique example of how to be us, not me.Pupils will be organized into mixed abilities transnational teams and each team will focus on one special aspect of the area (i.e.inclusive facilities for individuals with special needs and aged people, facilities that improve people’s social and psychological wellbeing, preservation and promotion of sustainability and of cultural heritage…).They will use Web2.0, and A.I tools for many project activities, they will learn about ethical norms and rules regarding AI and will have the opportunity to develop valuable skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity and teamwork – skills that will serve them well in their future pursuits.
