Education, Science, and Social Commitment. A project to raise awareness and promote a culture of blood donation among european young people. It is an interdisciplinary project between inter-level educational centers (Highschool study programs in health sciences, ethics and higher vocational training programs in biomedical laboratory studies). The topic we address is the history of blood transfusions and the donation process, at the same time we are going to focus on the ethical aspect of blood trading and its implications for society. We explore the European context of donation and the European network of blood banks. The challenge of achieving blood supply sufficiency, the decline in the number of young donors, and the promotion of a culture of donation among citizens are central themes.
