„Closer to stars, the Earth and the Sun”.- an educational project. Description of the project: 2023 is the year of Nicolaus Copernicus- one of the greatest astronomers, mathematicians, lawyers, doctors and economists. According to this important event our kindergarten has created an educational project which aim is to get children acquainted with this great Pole and enrich their knowledge about the universe. This project is directed to the willing educational institutions within e-twinning platform. It contains different educational propositions which can be used in kindergartens and diverse experiments and artistic activities that can be done at home with parents. Within realization of the project we have planned to prepare the presentation, exchange the experience at e-twinning platform after finishing chosen activities proposed in the project. What's more we have planned to create a photo report and an exhibition of the artwork made by children which will be available to the whole kindergarten's community. GENERAL GOALS: Acquainting children with the person of Nicolaus Copernicus and his achievements; developing interests with the world of science; enriching knowledge connected with the Universe; developing children's imagination and their artistic activities; integrating different educational institutions. Educational institutions that are willing to its ralization wil present chosen activities on the platform's forum. Propositions of obligatory activities: Day and night. Proposed forms of realization: 1. The Sun rises and sets- research. Making an experiment with a lamp and a globus that shows the sequence of day and night. 2. Day and night- arranging mathematical rhythm consisting of 2, 3 or 4 elements adequate to children's abilities. 3. Good morning, good night- arranging a picture story. 4. Day with night are wandering- a movement story in correlation with a game that shows the movement of planets including the Earth and the Moon. Presenting chosen activity on e-twinning platform. Goal: drawing attention to the periodicity of day and night. Cosmic stone- painting stones with glue, paints and decorating them with glitter. Presenting artwork at e-twinning platform. Goal: Developing the ability of using unusual artistic material. Few words about Mr. Nicolaus... "He stopped the Sun..."- the presentation in Polish and English version. Posting the presentation on e-twinning platform. Goal: Acquainting with the figure of Nicolaus Copernicus and his achievements.
