eTwinning Prizes 2023: Innovation and Education

Congratulations to the winners of the eTwinning Prizes 2023: Innovation and Education. Winners were chosen from the pool of winners from the past three years based on how innovative their project idea was. Let’s get to know the 2023 Prize Winners!
eTwinning Prizes 2023

Age Category 0-6: STEAM Preschool Academy (2022): In the STEAM Preschool Academy, students wrote fairy tales with other students. This project was chosen as a winner due to its innovative way of creating a learning many different types of learning environments.. Students actively interacted with each other, developing collaboration and communication skills while learning about different cultures. While learning from other students in an intercultural setting, students also made creative use of ICT tools and discovered new technologies.

 

 

 

Age Category 7-11: eTwinners as Pros (2022): This project, including teachers and students from Croatia, Greece and Spain, aimed to present students with multiple career options. This project was a winner in this category due to way students got to be protagonists in the learning process: creating, designing and even evaluating their progress. Student agency was the center of the project, which included frequent peer-teaching sessions and engagement in research, analysis and the creative process. 

 

 

 

Age Category 12-15: Myth'arts: myths in art and literature (2021):  This project worked classical mythology from the artistic point of view combining literature, painting, history and music. The purpose  was to raise awareness of classical culture   while developing the awareness of belonging to Europe. 
This project was chosen due to its creative activities and pupil collaboration. It was found to be a “very original project that boosted pupils’ creativity and motivation while developing their digital, language and other transversal competencies”. The final products of the project included a range of e-books, podcasts and challenges. 

 

 

 

Age Category 16-19: Robo Code (2020): "Robo-Code" is a STEM project which focuses on engineering and computational science exploiting the flipped classroom methodology to improve the learners’ knowledge and operation of technological products (Edison robot). This project was chosen for it’s innovative use of the flipped-classroom method and tacking into account peoples’ personalized learning approaches. The project was a great cross-educational sector project that united vocational and primary school students. VET students took on role of the teacher and younger students enjoyed the active learning project and learning from different tutors. 

 

 

 

IVET: Solutions Against the Greenhouse Effect 2022 (SAGE): SAGE is a project focusing on the causes and consequences of the greenhouse effect. By studying the meteorology of their individual countries, students looked at how the greenhouse effect was affecting their countries personally. In the second year of this Erasmus+ project, students studied solutions to the greenhouse effect and put those solutions to the test by building their own greenhouse. Students cited that one of the best parts of the project was getting to know different cultures and potential professional opportunities beyond their own borders. 

 

 

 

 

Congratulations to all prize winners!  Remember, eTwinning projects that took place during the 2021-2022 and the 2022-2023 school year will be eligible to apply for the 2024 round of eTwinning prizes.
