WeUnique – Resources for teachers to create an inclusive classroom environment
The WeUnique project, funded by Erasmus+, focused on empowering teachers to foster inclusive classroom environments by offering specialised online courses.
Its main objective was to enhance teachers' capacity to create learning environments where every student, regardless of their background, can thrive academically and socially. Practically, the project focused on three areas:
- Pupils with autism spectrum disorder,
- Pupils who have fled war, and
- Pupils with physical disability.
The project addressed several key challenges that educators face, e.g. accommodating pupils with different learning styles, abilities, cultural backgrounds and socio-economic statuses. By equipping teachers with practical skills, strategies and resources, the project aimed to reduce inequalities and promote active participation for all pupils.
The main output of WeUnique is self-paced training materials for teachers covering the three focus areas. The materials include tips for teachers, case studies, lesson plans, webinar recordings and additional resources. The materials are available in English, Romanian, Spanish and Lithuanian.
