Developing intercultural competence through education

The ability to understand one another across and beyond all types of cultural barriers is a fundamental prerequisite for making our diverse democratic societies work. This publication seeks to offer an educational rationale and conceptual framework for the development of intercultural competence as well as to describe the constitutive elements of intercultural competence to be developed in and through education in formal, non‑formal and informal contexts.
