Join us for the 2024 European conference on initial teacher education
This year’s initial teacher education (ITE) conference will focus on how eTwinning can support future teachers in promoting citizenship education and European values, in line with the 2024/2025 annual theme.
Participants will explore innovative ways to integrate eTwinning into teacher education, while addressing both the challenges and opportunities that come with using eTwinning projects in university courses and initial teacher training programmes.
The event will feature a range of sessions (including keynote speeches, panel discussions and interactive workshops) that are designed to:
- share best practice from teacher educators who have successfully incorporated citizenship education and European values into their eTwinning projects,
- provide ideas about strengthening intercultural and democratic competences within the ITE curriculum,
- showcase innovative methods for using eTwinning to promote European values and active citizenship,
- highlight the role of international collaboration in improving teacher education and supporting common European values.
The conference will also celebrate excellence in initial teacher education with an award ceremony recognising outstanding achievements.
Who can attend?
Full participation in the three-day onsite/online conference in Budapest is by invitation only, but anyone is welcome to join the livestream on the first and third days, with no registration required.
