The primary school OŠ Prežihovega Voranca Ravne na Koroškem is located in the proximity of the settlement Čečovje, in the town Ravne na Koroškem in Slovenia.
There is a lot of sports areas and infrasturctures near the school, which enables some very interesting and productive PE lessons. These capacities are also often used by the locals, for either sporting activities or just spending some free time. The school has a large gymnasium with its own climbing wall, playgrounds and a large grandstand. In the immediate vicinity of the school we also have the Institute for Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth Activities (ZKŠTM) with a winter pool, playgrounds, table tennis hall, fitness center, bowling alley, etc. Near ZKŠTM we also have a ski track Poseka, which offers skiing in winter months and downhill bike riding in summer months with a cable car. There is also an annual swimming pool just 100 m from the school. The youth hostel Punkt, which is located 50 meters from the school offers facilities. There are also many green areas around the school and some forest, which gives us good opportunities for outdoor lessons. To all of that we have added a school garden, and we have also planned an outdoor classroom.
Our school tradition is long. The building we are still in today opened its doors on November 27, 1966. Before that, the students visited many buildings in Ravne na Koroškem. The school has different specialized classrooms and the aforementioned gymnasium.
