Vasile Alecsandri" National College opened its doors in its curent location in 1962 and currently educates students in the middle and high school cycle. In the school year 2021-2022 we have 950 students grouped in 33 classes: 13 groups in grades V-VIII and 20 groups in grades IX-XII. Most middle school classes have intensive study programs of a foreign language (4 intensive English classes, 4 intensive French classes, 4 intensive German classes). The high school classes are with a real profile (mathematics-computer science or science) or humanities (philology). Some classes study English or German intensively, and others have a German / French bilingual program.
Currently in the school there are 64 teachers and 22 auxiliary and non-teaching staff.
