Hello! My name is Senem YILMAZ. I'm a math teacher. I have recieved one’s degree in Dokuz Eylül Univercity about middle school mathematic teacher and I have done postgraduate work at Eskişehir Osmangazi Univercity about middle school mathematic teacher. I write a thesis upon “Misconceptions of second-Degree Primary School’s Students About Problem Solving”. I have been teaching maths since 2002. I attend many local projects in schools which I have worked. I'm working at Didem Işıklı Middle School. I want to learning and connecting the other country school for this project.
This year I teach seventh and eighth grade students maths lesson in my school. At middle school maths lesson education programe in Turkey there are five learning areas: Numeral and Process, Algebra, Geometry and Measurement, Data Processing and Probability. Probability learnind area is featured in Eighth class and Algebra is featured in all classese to except fifth class. Numeral and Process, Algebra, Geometry and Measurement, Data Processing lerning areas are in all class levels.
Middle school maths lesson education programe target to give knowlage, ability and position special to maths which students need in lifetimes and next education stage. Education programe support conceptual learning, being fluent in processing, reaching maths knowlage and put an emphasis that students rate maths and development solving problem skills. Then it attach importance to mading new mathematical meanings, abstraction and associating by students. Alternatively learning maths include polishing fundamental conception ve ability up, tihinking about maths, engaging with solving problem strategy and realising that mahts is an important material in real life.
