We are an eTwinning school and we get quality labels. In 2020, we received the national award for the best eTwinning project in the age group from 6 to 12. I would be happy to work with you as well.

About my school

Druga osnovna šola Slovenj Gradec lies in the north of Slovenia, in the Slovenian Carinthia. Even though Slovenj Gradec is a small town, it is big-hearted. It is also one of the cultural, recreational and educational centers in the region. One is able to witness the entire educational chain here; from preschools to primary and secondary vocational schools to higher education. Our school employs 60 teachers whose job it is to teach 492 students. There is also a big subsidiary – one of the biggest in Slovenia, employing 15 teachers and educating 105 students. Our school is famous for its cultural involvement. Our choirs and folklore groups have achieved the highest awards in the country. We have also successfully combined the public system of learning with the Montessori pedagogy in our first grades. Our teaching practice includes active teaching methods, FIT pedagogy and formative assessment. We strive to improve our information-communication abilities, to raise the quality of the learners’ knowledge and to elevate our talented students even further. We are an internationally successful organization, currently involved in various eTwinning projects as well as an Erasmus+ project (KA1 and KA2). One of our teachers, the Slovenian ambassador of eTwinning, is able to guide you into the secret world of eTwinning. Within our Erasmus+ projects, we will gladly host up to 4 teachers for a period of 5 days in order to present the educational system of our country and our teaching practices. The guests will have the
opportunity to share their teaching practices especially in the area of information and
communication technology and in the area of working with students from a socially
challenging environment.
