Citizenship education is linked to the values of tolerance, respect, equality, and justice—which are the foundation of  the SDGs. The project activities explore how both the SDGs and citizenship education promote these shared values.

The values of equity, sustainability, and justice are crucial to the "Zero City" concept. Citizenship education is about understanding and acting on shared values that unite communities. The "Zero City" project challenges students to uphold these values by developing solutions that ensure a fairer, more sustainable world for all, reinforcing the idea that our common humanity motivates us to work toward these goals.
