  • Delivering a CLIL lesson:  the teacher’s role and language 
  • Assessing CLIL lessons: when, what and how?

Printed materials including QR code links to references, videos and extra resources, and materials for in-class activities.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understanding of what CLIL is and isn’t, and the benefits it brings 
  • Be able to work with the 4 C’s Conceptual Framework 
  • Be able to apply Webb’s Depth of Knowledge Levels 
  • Be able to use ‘Scaffolding’ effectively 
  • Recognize barriers to CLIL & learn tips to overcome them  
  • Be able to plan a CLIL lesson, to choose and create activities                
  • Familiarization with activities which develop speaking and listening skills 
  • Understanding of teacher’s role and the language needed to deliver a CLIL lesson 
  • Familiarization with CLIL lesson assessment options

Target groups

All teachers and trainers in primary, secondary schools, vocational education schools and organizations, teaching English as foreign language or using English as the language of classroom communication so as to develop student levels of English to native or near native speaker levels.

Methodology & assessment

The workshop uses presentation, case studies, videos, on-line sites, reading, discussions, individual and group activities.

Certification details

The cost includes the learning material and the certificates: Certificate of completion, Europass Certificate Supplement, Europass Mobility.

The cost can be funded by Erasmus+ programme KA1 mobility of staff
