Description

In the fifth course of the course series on Unlocking the Power of Teacher Digital Competence, we delve into assessment. Digital technologies can enhance existing assessment practices and facilitate new and innovative ones. Teachers can use digital technologies to collect data to better support and assess learners, while enabling them to reflect and adapt their teaching practice.

Learning objectives

As a participant, you will:

  • Select digital technologies to support specific aspects in assessment “of”, “for” and “as” learning and capture best the nature of the learning outcome to be assessed,
  • Select digital technologies that facilitate presentation and analysis of learning data to support your reflections on your teaching practice and on your students' learning,
  • Select digital technologies that can help in providing, receiving and analysing feedback in order to inform teaching and enhance the design of learning on a continuous basis.

Methodology & assessment

This self-paced course is adapted from a version that ran from in 2024. Designed for flexibility, it lets you explore content and complete activities at your own pace.

There is a later deadline for submitting your final mandatory activity and reviewing your peers, no live sessions, and no required meeting times. While the original course included scheduled discussions, this version allows independent learning with the same materials and guidance.
Forum discussions and Padlet contributions will not be moderated, fostering a fully self-directed experience.

Please note that to receive a certificate you will have to successfully complete the quiz at the end of module 2 and pass the final activity at the end of module 4.

The course is now open for self-paced learning.

Upon successful completion of the course, a digital course certificate is awarded. The certificate shows the name of the learner and key course details such as the estimated learning hours, the learning objectives, and a link to the course homepage.
