Inclusion and diversity: One of the core values of the European Union is that every person has the right to quality and inclusive education, training and lifelong learning in order to maintain and acquire skills that allow them to fully participate in society and in the future in the labor market. People with fewer opportunities are people who need additional support because they are in a disadvantaged position compared to others (poverty, isolation of the place where they live, intellectual abilities, growing up without parents, health problems, etc.). This priority in our school was determined by the school's Quality Team in 2022 as a priority for the period 2022/2024. and we have started working on encouraging inclusion and diversity prior to accreditation. Accordingly, in the upcoming five-year period, the School will carry out activities (education, mobility, workshops, etc.) to develop the awareness of all students about the importance of accepting and celebrating diversity (gender, race, nationality, religion, economic conditions, etc.) as well as understanding intercultural differences. Additionally, through the mobility of students and teachers within the EU and in cooperation with partner schools and other institutions, we will promote Croatian culture, customs and the spirit of our community. Special attention will be paid to the inclusion of our students (and their families) with reduced opportunities or learning and behavioral difficulties in all activities as equal and, due to their uniqueness, valuable members of our school community. Our focus will be on inclusive activities (dealing with inclusive topics and/or involving people with fewer opportunities).
