Description

The course consists of 50 didactic hours and includes the following moduels:

Introduction of participants, outline of the programme, warm ups and ice breakers
Overview and analysis of professional orientation models in education of EU countries
Dorothy Heathcote's Mantel of The Expert technique
Competence based approach to professional orientation
Practical workshop on development of entrepreneurship competences
Creating a personal free website portfolio as a tool for reflection on professional orientation
Online tools for collaboration in projects oriented on professional orientation, eTwinning
Individual support
Cultural evening
Teambuilding and networking activities with a city tour or a cultural trip
Presentation of outcomes, discussion, evaluation and closing session

Learning objectives

Understanding of role and opportunities for professional orientation at all levels of education.
Improving the participants’ entrepreneurship competences.
Understanding how professional orientation can be incorporated into lessons and school curriculum.
Understanding competence based approach to education and its significance in professional orientation.
Developing communication, collaboration, presentation, problem solving, negotiation, critical and creative thinking skills.
Learning The Mantle of The Expert technique and how it could be used to integrate professional orientation in educational context.
Enhancing understanding of the potential simulations and role play have for integrating professional orientation into education on all levels.
Providing and exercising creative ideas and practical resources for successful implementation of professional orientation in education in different school settings (arts and crafts, science, language, citizenship, computer science, etc.)

Methodology & assessment

Methodology is based on theoretical lessons and presentations of examples of good practice as well as discussions and experience comparisons. Key method used, developed by British actress and teacher, Dorothy Heathcote, puts the participants into the role of experts working for an enterprise. Participants will learn about the competence based approach to education through workshops, simulations and action learning. Assessment is carried out by the course trainer on a day to day basis and the learning outcomes are recorded on the Europass Mobility Document on request.

Materials, digital tools & other learning resources

All the materials will be made available to the participants in digital form upon completion of the course.

Certification details

Certificate complies with the guidelines of the Erasmus+ programme and includes the topic, number of didactic hours, dates and location of the course. We can list the record of learning outcomes on the Europass Mobility Document on request of participants. In case. a participant requires a speciffic format of certificate we can accommodate that if requested at least one week before the start of the course.

The course fee includes tution and materials for the course. Accommodation, meals and transportation are not included and participants are expected to organize and cover for these expenses by themselves.

Free cancellation up to 30 days before the start. After that, the reservation is not refundable. Changes in name and profile of the participant are possible any time before the start of the course.
