Nowadays, more than ever, we realise how important it is to be part of the European Union. We want our students to fully comprehend the rights they have as European citizens, to become active members of society, to feel ‘united in diversity’. Our plan is to work on common values of the European Union, civic engagement and participation of youngsters in the democratic process, to teach them how important inclusion and diversity in education is, to talk about European identity, citizenship and values and last but not least, to promote equality and non-discrimination. We plan monthly meetings to tackle important European subjects, to improve skills we need in this changing society, to create materials worth reading in class, to be active and show we care. We will have the opportunity to talk to the people who represent us in the European Parliament and learn how to make a choice on election day. We want to become active members of our communities and do things that matter.
