Stories Without Borders

Children's stories are an important tool in the formation of children's identity and values, contributing to the development of the imaginary, cognitive abilities and emotional intelligence. Through stories, children develop realms of time and space, as well as cognitive functions such as reasoning, creative thinking, comparison, attention and concentration. Contact with stories allows the child to "travel without leaving the place", "live" experiences that stimulate curiosity to discover the world, dream, learn, grow and better prepare for the challenges of life. By contacting the stories, children have a greater tendency to develop a taste for reading and writing, the ability to express themselves and argue, broadening their overall culture and enriching their vocabulary. Children's stories are a playful motivation for addressing topical topics, daily life and different cultures, and can be further dynamicized and using various forms of expression and communication: orality, writing, theater, drawing, painting, photography, video, modeling, new information and communication technologies. This project aims to establish bridges that streamline the sharing of children's stories between classes, schools and the countries involved, through an inclusive and innovative pedagogy, based on collaborative work and using new technologies.
