Day 1: Foundations of Educational Leadership

  • Introduction to educational leadership: history, theories, and models
  • Exploring different leadership styles and their impact on school culture and student achievement
  • Identifying personal leadership strengths and areas for growth

Day 2: Building Collaborative Teams

  • Understanding the dynamics of effective teams and the role of the leader in fostering collaboration
  • Developing communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills for building strong teams
  • Strategies for motivating and empowering team members to achieve shared goals

Day 3: Leading Change and Innovation

  • Identifying the need for change and developing a compelling vision for the future
  • Overcoming resistance to change and building support for new initiatives
  • Implementing and evaluating change initiatives effectively

Day 4: Advocacy and Community Engagement

  • Understanding the importance of advocacy in educational leadership
  • Developing strategies for building relationships with stakeholders and influencing decision-makers
  • Engaging with the community to build support for educational initiatives

Day 5: Personal Leadership Development and Action Planning

  • Reflecting on personal leadership growth and development throughout the course
  • Developing individual action plans for applying leadership skills in participants' own educational contexts
  • Building a network of support for continued professional development and collaboration

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
