- practical workshops exploring a wide range of teaching ideas and creative child-centred activities designed to engage children's imaginations and creativity
- lectures on Irish History, Culture & Traditions and the Irish Education System

Learning objectives
These courses aim to provide teachers of English at primary level with:
- a range of new ideas, practical classroom skills and materials for teaching English to young learners
- an opportunity to improve their own language skills and to acquire language for the primary classroom
- an insight into Primary Education in Ireland
- an opportunity to exchange ideas and develop links with teachers from primary schools in other European countries
- cultural background to Life in Ireland
Methodology & assessment
Practical workshops are tailored to the participants’ training needs
Teachers will be encouraged to share their own ideas and experiences and to participate in and reflect on learning and tasks designed for primary school pupils
Collaborative working
Feedback and guidance from trainers
At the end of the course teachers participate in a detailed evaluation of the course
Materials, digital tools & other learning resources
Participants will be provided with physical and digital materials and will be actively involved in creating and sharing digital resources.
Certification details
- A certificate of attendance (stating course title, location, dates, content, learning outcomes and number of hours) will be provided as required by the Quality standards for courses under Key Action 1
- Erasmus+ documentation will be validated
- Teachers will be provided with advice on how to complete their Learning Agreements if requested

- 2,195 Euro – Course with 13 nights full board host family accommodation (Single rooms. All meals provided)
- 2,239 Euro - Course with 13 nights self-catering accommodation in central university residence (single ensuite rooms)

Cancellation & changes:
Full payment will be due 2 months before the course begins, or for teachers awaiting funding: as soon as the grant is received.
100% refund for cancellations more than 5 weeks before arrival. No refund for cancellations within 5 weeks of arrival. Changes and substitution of teacher may be possible.
