AI Odyssey: Discussing AI with students without sounding robotic

Description

This course aims to demystify AI. As a participant, you'll delve into fundamental concepts and gain insights into what it means for a machine to be intelligent through hands-on interaction with AI tools. This practical experience aims to provide a clear understanding of AI applications, capabilities, and limitations, empowering you to effectively convey this knowledge to your students. The course will address the question of how our interactions with AI influence our actions and thoughts on both an individual level (for teachers and students) and on a broader societal scale. Throughout these two weeks, you will come across educational and ethical questions about independent thinking, creativity, intellectual ownership, and the changing nature of truth. Since many questions about AI remain open-ended, discussion questions on the platform will provide ample opportunities for sharing thoughts and ideas. Are you ready to instil AI literacy in your teaching, preparing students for a future where AI's significance continues to grow?
