Our school is located in Bucharest city centre and in 1990 had became the first Bilingual Romanian-Spanish High School in
the country, under the name “ Miguel de Cervantes High School”. In 2004 “The Agreement for bilateral cooperation in the
education field” between the Spanish Ministry of Education and the Romanian correspondent was signed. Since then, the
school has a Spanish native teacher who teaches at the secondary level the History and the Geography of Spain and also
the History of Spanish Art. The Managerial Plan of our school describe the mains goals of our educational strategy: From the
sustainable development perspective of education worldwide, the correlation of education with the research and innovation,
our school promotes the public policies meant to implement a new vision of the education, formation, research and
development, following the guiding line of improving the quality and efficiency of the educational system and the universal
access to education, the creation of an open European system for education and formation.
We have around 75 teachers, from whom 13 foreign languages teachers (10 for Spanish, 3 for English) and 2 ICT teachers.
The classrooms are modern and technologically well equipped with smart boards and Internet connection.
We have around 1100 students, from 6 to 19 year old, from different social environments. 5 % of them come from immigrant
