We are restarting this project to mark World Letter Writing Day (May 11, 2023), and at the same time bring students closer to the older and slower times when we sent letters written on paper, put the paper in an envelope and took them to the post office. With this project, we want students to feel the beauty of writing letters because letters are material, tangible and through them we can feel the energy and emotions of the person who sends them. We have moved our communication, as well as many other important segments of personal and social life, to a digital environment. We don't talk anymore, writing and personal contact become ways of communication from some past times. Now we just type and type forgetting to actually write. This year, we will include in the project writing an e-mail to the student to whom we are sending a letter so that students can compare what they liked best. And writing a letter to a loved one of their own choice in cooperation with their parents. In this way, students will be able to see on their own example the beauty of writing a letter with their own hand and pencil, and the beauty of waiting for a letter from new friends from their own and foreign countries. Ponovno pokrećemo ovaj projekt kako bi obilježili Svjetski dan pisanja pisama (11.svibnja.2023.), a ujedno i približili učenicima starija i sporija vremena kada smo slali pisma napisana na papir, papir stavljali u omotnicu te ih nosili u poštu. Želimo da učenici ovim projektom osjete ljepotu pisanja pisama jer su pisma materijalna, opipljiva i kroz njih možemo osjetiti energiju i emocije osobe koja ih šalje. Svoju komunikaciju, kao i mnoge druge važne segmente osobnog i društvenog života, premjestili smo u digitalno okruženje. Gotovo da više i ne razgovaramo, pisanje i osobni kontakt postaju načini komunikacije iz nekih prošlih vremena. Sada samo tipkamo i tipkamo zaboravljajući stvarno pisati. Ove godine u projekt ćemo ubaciti i pisanje e-maila učeniku/učenici kojima šaljemo pismo, kako bi učenici mogli usporediti što im se više svidjelo. I pisanje pisma dragoj osobi po vlastitom izboru u suradnji s roditeljima. Učenici će na taj način moći na vlastitom primjeru vidjeti ljepotu pisanja pisma vlastitom rukom i olovkom te ljepotu iščekivanja pisma od novih prijatelja iz vlastite i strane zemlje.
