One Europe - Many Tales

1. Every month the children work on one fairy tale / traditional tale / folk tale / legend from their own country. They collect information, make drawings to illustrate the whole story and write it down in basic English. 2. The individual art works and texts are put into a form of booklet / album and at the end of each month sent to the partner school. 3. Along with the paper version of the tale, a Power Point presentation of it is made and sent to the partner school as well. 4. After receiving the tale, students read it and discuss together with their teacher in a form she chooses for each individual tale lesson. 5. September is devoted to preparatory work and planning the detailed schedule within schools, and the fairy tales exchange will start in October and end in May, giving thus a total number of seven fairy tales and the last month will be devoted to the final task. 6. As a conclusion of the project and the final task, the children choose their favourite fairy tale of the partner school and make a short play of it. The play will be recorded and the dvds will be exchanged at the end of the project. 7. Along with the fairy tale project work, the children will be matched, and penpals will exchange letters once a month to keep personal contacts with the children from the partner school.
