Four Skills With Media Literacy

No generation has a bigger media history because no previous generation has had access to so many different kinds of media and such a range of media products( Connell et al /1996:10). There is practically no way of avoiding the mass media. They are part of our life. Thus, if we learn how to analyse mass media products we will have the chance to develop a whole range of individual, practical, social, cultural and intellectual skills which we really need nowadays. Language learners should use media resources in a versatile and efficient way. So we plan to integrate the four basic skills of language learning and media literacy in this project. While using the media as a source in language learning, it will be a project where we will make discoveries on the language of the media.
