Earth Guardians

The project aims to promote sustainable development, training students in the importance of being active members in improving the environmental conditions of planet Earth, contributing to the reduction of its ecological footprint and minimizing the negative impacts caused to the planet by lifestyle consumerist. Students from different countries, organized in national working groups, will propose eco-challenges, which will be presented in a video conference, as well as being voted on to choose the most relevant ones, in terms of contribution to a cleaner planet and, in which the use of resources is done consciously and sustainably. Thus, the aim is to encourage practices that reduce waste and promote responsible management of water, energy and other natural resources essential for preserving the environment. The winning eco-challenges, from each country, must be carried out by all students involved in the project. In addition, presentations will be made in international working groups, focused on some of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In this way, the project will encourage the protection of the environment and biodiversity, promoting responsible consumption. Thus, it is guaranteed that education prepares children and young people to be agents of change in building a more sustainable world, improving the quality of life by considering both the needs of current and future generations, and promoting the practice of an economic circular.
