ProuD to Teach All – Building inclusive school systems

The ProuD to Teach All project (Erasmus+ 2020–2023) supported teachers and school leaders in creating inclusive schools that meet the challenges of the 21st century. The project developed professional learning communities (PLCs) in collaboration with teacher education institutes across Belgium, Latvia, Portugal, the Netherlands and the UK. Within these PLCs, educators engaged in collaborative problem-solving and coaching to better serve learners with diverse needs and interests.
“We explored how to set up a professional learning community and had a coaching workshop. Immediately, I made the link to our own school. What are we doing well? Where are opportunities for growth? What next step can we take? Through coaching and discussions, I found answers to these questions.”
Amaryllis Verplancke, school leader pre-primary & primary school ‘De Springplank’, Belgium
The project's website offers a range of resources to support inclusive practices across Europe and beyond, including:
- Inspiration centre: a repository of interviews, podcasts, videos and activities selected to provoke dialogue and professional growth in inclusive practices.
- Guide for coaches to enhance educators’ coaching skills and enable them to lead PLCs, which guide is structured around three themes:
- growing towards an inclusive pedagogy
- organising collaborative professional learning
- coaching educational professionals
- Professional development package: flexible learning activities to help teachers effectively teach all learners, available as a structured ‘guided tour’ or a customisable ‘backpack’.
- Research and policy recommendations: evidence-informed guidelines for schools, policymakers and higher education staff to ensure inclusive policies. These recommendations can be applied in local school communities, policy bodies and universities.
The website and most of the outputs are available in English, Dutch, Latvian and Portuguese.
