The Children’s Resilience Programme: Psychosocial support in and out of schools

Overall, the programme involves working with the entire community to identify ways to improve the environment the children live in, and especially to improve child protection systems. A booklet is available to describe how activities in the children’s resilience programme can be used both within formal school settings and out of school in all kinds of child-friendly spaces.
Another resource is the Programme Manager’s Handbook for those with limited experience in children’s resilience programmes, and for staff and volunteers who are interested in gaining more knowledge of programme planning and management.
These and many other materials for the programme have been developed by the Psychosocial Centre of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and Save the Children.
