The course is designed to equip museum coordinators and staff with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively manage and integrate volunteers and interns into their institutions, with a particular focus on fostering inclusive environments for international participants, including those from the European Solidarity Corps (ESC).
Objectives:
Understand the role and value of volunteers and interns in museums.
Learn best practices in recruitment, selection and management of international volunteers and interns.
Develop competences in program design, communication, leadership and evaluation.
Gain insights from local museum visits and interactions with professionals and volunteers.

Assessment is based on active participation, the completion of a milestone project where participants design a volunteer or internship program plan tailored to their museum's needs and a presentation of this plan to the group for feedback.
