INTERDISCIPLINARY APPROACH TO TEACHING THROUGH LITERATURE 7 DAYS

Description
The course consists of 35 didactic hours and includes the following moduels:
- Introduction of participants, outline of the programme, warm ups and ice breakers
- Finding a way into the book with drama techniques
- Digital story-telling and narrative building
- Reflection on the book through art expression
- Cultural exchange
- Teambuilding and networking activities with a city tour or a cultural trip
- Online tools for collaboration in literature oriented projects, e-Twinning
- Individual support
- Presentation of outcomes, discussion, evaluation and closing session

Learning objectives
- Enhancing understanding of the potential other arts and sciences have in approach to literary work.
- Improving the participants’ pedagogical competences.
- Developing communication, collaboration, presentation, problem solving, negotiation, critical and creative thinking skills.
- Understanding of the potential and opportunities of drawing and art activities for analysis and reflection.
- Understanding of the way drama and theatre techniques can offer a way into the literary work.
- Learning drama and theatre techniques and methods to use in teaching literature.
- Providing and exercising creative ideas and practical resources for teaching literature through digital storytelling, drama methods and art workshops.
- Improving English fluency (official language of the course).
- Promoting intercultural awareness.
- Sharing experiences of interactive and interdisciplinary approaches in teaching literature in order to help each of us to be more effective in our work.
Methodology & assessment
Materials, digital tools & other learning resources
All the materials will be made available to the participants in digital form upon completion of the course.
Certification details
Certificate complies with the guidelines of the Erasmus+ programme and includes the topic, number of didactic hours, dates and location of the course. We can list the record of learning outcomes on the Europass Mobility Document on request of participants. In case. a participant requires a speciffic format of certificate we can accommodate that if requested at least one week before the start of the course.

The course fee includes tution and materials for the course. Accommodation, meals and transportation are not included and participants are expected to organize and cover for these expenses by themselves.
