Social Wellbeing and Inclusion
We worked toghether on themes like welcoming, inclusion and integration, starting from the meaning of the terms.
The term multicultural indicates a situation in which different cultures coexist with each other, without concrete opportunities for comparison, exchange, equality, reciprocity and openness.
On the other hand, the term intercultural refers to real integration and positive interaction between different cultures, characterized by cultural pluralism, meeting and democratic comparison.
Interculturality involves the valorization of differences and not their cancellation, through an active exchange that leads to mutual respect. It’s a way to build together a project of democratic coexistence.
