MILLENNIUM CHILDREN

Our world is rapidly globalizing. Technology is advancing at an incredible pace. The age we live in constantly forces individuals to develop and change with technological tools. These developments not only provide convenience to people in many areas but also many social and economic; They bring environmental and human problems. The Millennial Age is forcing individuals to go at their own pace. If individuals want to adapt to this age, they have to constantly improve themselves, adapt to the rapidly changing world, and integrate with technology. Our children born in the Millennium Age are also exposed to all the positive or negative consequences of this age. Throughout history, philosophy and wisdom have guided people. With an education system that integrates wisdom and technology, our children can adapt to the conditions of the current age and be ready for a more advanced civilization in the future. Based on this idea, our project was designed as a contemporary project integrating Philosophy, STEM, Sustainable Development Goals, Guidance, and Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 tools. Every month, our students will meet a philosopher who will shed light on their path to wisdom. They will create STEM products for the global problems they choose with a constructivist approach using the 5E Model. Workshops will be held using the Socratic Method, Problem-Solving Methods, and Discussion Techniques. In this way, our students will have the opportunity to examine problems from a scientific and philosophical perspective. Our project is modular. It allows our students to develop at their pace. It also allows them to develop their social skills by providing them with opportunities for collaborative work. In our project process, global issues based on the principles of the European Union's Sustainable Development Goals will be examined with philosophical and scientific methods using Scientific Research Methods. In addition, we will contribute to the academic, social, and psychological development of our students through various guidance activities with the help of school counselors every month. Our project is planned to improve students' social, academic, and cognitive skills. With our project, we also draw attention to the problems required by the age, such as environmental problems, climate change, renewable energy cyclical developments in the world, etc. It is aimed to raise awareness of our students about the issues. Our project; enables our students to develop high-level thinking skills such as research, questioning, and evaluation and to become the versatile individuals required by their age. The direct target audience of our project is our students, but our parents and teachers will also be indirectly informed. Our students will engage in discussion, brainstorming activities, and presentations throughout the project process. Our project is a contemporary eTwinning project that ensures the active participation of all stakeholders.
