No To Racısm

This project aims to gaining respectful attitudes towards differences in students and showing how to avoid racist discourses and behaviors. Students will celebrate in school the European day of the Righteous of Humanity on 6 March and the International day against racism on 21 March. From ONU web site: "The International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination is observed annually on the day the police in Sharpeville, South Africa, opened fire and killed 69 people at a peaceful demonstration against apartheid "pass laws" in 1960". Students will read, and then work with a digital storytelling, some biographies of famous activist : Tahar Ben Jelloun, Martin Luther King, Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Claudette Colvin, Rosa Parks, Fannie Lou Hamer.
