Sustainable EuropArt

This project aims to develop a common European identity by making our students aware of the fact that art is something we all share and that art also serves as a response to the society of the moment, addressing various problems and visions of the world. The EuropArt project is born from this idea. Under this name, cultural heritage, sustainability, and solidarity constitute the common European values at the foundation of this project. These aspects will be integrated into the project by firstly exploring the common cultural heritage, and secondly, understanding why this cultural heritage responded to the needs of the society at the time it was created. With this in mind, students will work to discover how art is a shared element in Europe, used to denounce and reclaim throughout history. Initially, students will become conscious of European issues stemming from our irresponsible use of fossil fuels, excessive resource consumption, or the increasing production and use of Fast Moving Consumer Goods. They will then collaborate to create pieces of art to visualize these problems
