Description

  • The STEAM Essentials course is an engaging Erasmus+ program designed for teachers seeking to enhance their skills in STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). This course aims to empower educators with practical tools and strategies to promote creative learning experiences in the classroom.
  • Through interactive workshops and collaborative projects, participants will gain hands-on experience in designing STEAM-based activities that foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The course also covers the use of technology and digital tools to enhance STEAM learning, as well as how arts and creativity can inspire students' imagination.
  • The course will dive into project-based learning (PBL) methodologies, demonstrating how educators can design and implement STEAM projects that encourage teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. 

Learning objectives

  • Understanding STEAM Principles: Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the core principles of STEAM education and its interdisciplinary nature, recognising the significance of integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics in the teaching and learning process.
  • Designing STEAM Lesson Plans: Teachers will learn how to design and implement engaging STEAM-based lesson plans and activities that promote creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration among students.
  • Integrating Arts and Creativity: Educators will explore methods for integrating arts and creativity into STEM subjects, fostering students' imagination and self-expression, and making learning enjoyable and meaningful.
  • Utilising Technology in STEAM Education: Participants will discover how to leverage technology and digital tools to enhance STEAM learning experiences, incorporating innovative digital resources into their teaching practices.

Methodology & assessment

𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲:
Interactive Workshops: The course employs a hands-on approach, featuring interactive workshops, group discussions, and collaborative activities.
Peer Learning: Participants engage in peer-to-peer learning, benefiting from the diverse backgrounds and experiences of their fellow educators.
Practical Application: The training emphasises the practical application of concepts learned.

Certification details

Our courses meet 𝐄𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐦𝐮𝐬+ 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 for Key Action 1 (learning mobility of individuals).

Participants must attend a minimum of 80% of sessions and actively engage in discussions and practical activities to enhance their learning experience.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance. Learning Agreements and Europass Mobility documents are available upon request at no additional cost.
