Nowadays there is a growing trend towards integrating ICT into teaching and training. New technologies offer teachers and education staff a wide new range of possibilities and tools, but not without challenges. ICT can be a muddy environment and approaching it without proper guidance and practical training can be a time-consuming task.

Description

Main objectives

This structured course allows participants to improve their ICT skills in a practical and concrete way together with other teachers and education staff throughout all of Europe thus gaining as well a broader understanding of education in Europe and exchanging best practices and experiences. The general aim of this training course is to foster excellence in education by empowering teachers, trainers, headmasters, and other education staff to integrate ICT tools into teaching and education.
The course has a flexible approach in order to adapt the learning outcomes to the particular needs and ICT skills of the participants.
Thanks to this course the participants will:

  • Get an overview of the most important new technologies and of the growing trend of integrating ICT into education;
  • Get to know the best apps, web platforms, and ICT solutions for teachers and education staff;
  • Learn how to create engaging and interactive multimedia content and presentations;
  • Learn how to digitally assess students’ knowledge and understanding in real time;
  • Learn the basic concepts of distance learning, e-learning, and flipped classrooms;
  • Learn how to create a website or a blog;
  • Learn how to use ICT tools to make education more engaging, motivating, and innovative;
  • Get a new perspective on ICT tools  and learn new ways and best practices to integrate ICT into teaching and training;
  • Exchange best practices and share experiences with participants and staff coming throughout Europe;

Learning objectives

METHODOLOGY

We tailor the working methods based on participants’ needs, attitudes, and professional profiles in order to ensure high productivity, effectiveness, and transferability into practice.
The standard methodology is highly practical and participative with a hands-on approach that comprises real-job examples, case studies examinations, and simulations. We embrace collaboratively working methods that foster mutual learning and cooperation among participants. Our focus is on learning in an interactive and international environment knowledge applicable to real contexts and/or in the classroom. The pedagogical methods that we use are based upon experiential training, group and peer activities, learning-by-doing, and best practices exchange. They include visits to local schools and institutions allowing the participants to better understand the local education system as well as exchange ideas and contacts.
Morning Wrap-up and brief daily evaluations are foreseen to ensure the quality of education and to adapt the learning program to participants' needs better tailoring the education.
We organize optional social, networking, and cultural activities in order to give participants the opportunity to know Italy as well as to exchange best-practice and establish professional cooperation and links.
 

 

Methodology & assessment

Trainers
Ali Erdem - European projects as coordinator, trainer, tutor, responsible, and administrative.
Language teacher of English, Experience in training Projects since 2004, and experience in planning developing, and coordinating EU Projects. He has been involved in 78 Erasmus projects. Expert in graphics, web animation, and flash animation. He is a really great expert in European projects and in their management. Many experiences also as a project evaluator
Yunus Şenbay: He has taken part in many Erasmus+ activities (training courses). Expert in graphics, website creation, e-learning platforms, and video production. Tutor, trainerand project assistant in many European projects.

Mark Causon: He has more than 20 years of experience in EU projects creation and implementation, exchanging, and participating. Dr Causon after studying Pharmacy and working in various branches diversified his studies into the environmental field, with post-graduate studies in Environmental toxicology and Organic farming and a MBA in Economics and Management. Mark has worked as a coordinator and project manager on various projects in Malta, Ireland, Spain, Brussels, Germany, France, Sweden, Slovakia, Palestine, Turkey, Tunisia, and Norway.

Certification details

At the end of the course, each participant will be awarded a certificate of attendance including a description of training content as well as its starting and end date, together - if requested -  with the Europass Mobility Certificate.
We support the participants in every step of certification and validation of learning outcomes with a specific focus on European instruments and Erasmus plus requirements such as staff mobility/learning agreement, quality commitment, and Europass mobility certificate.
