TOIS (Technology Opens Internet to Science)

Nowadays it´s well known the intensive use of the Internet as a tool, for students of Secondary, in order to obtain academic information. But it´s more important how they can browse across to it to understand some scientific or tecnological concepts during their schooling period. That fact has changed the way of teaching STEM subjects, not only because the amount of useful examples or tutorials on the web, moreover because of the new tools that we can access: virtual laboratories or scientific museums, interactive online webs for simulation (chemical reactions, different laws of Physics, mechanisms and engines, energy transformations, ...) or even, platforms to store and share numerical data at the Cloud. With the intensive use of computers and external microcontrolers (like the Arduino boards), teachers would be able to introduce their pupils into the Internet of Things, monitoring physical variables (ligth, temperature, moisture or atmospheric pressure) to control different experiments from the laboratory or other external spaces of the school.
