HEADLINE

The explosive growth of social media, smartphones and digital devices is transforming our lives, both in school and at home, Internet provides us with the opportunity to access knowledge, to communicate, to develop our skills and to make friends, but we can also be exposed to harmful content and many kinds of risks. We are all concerned about the students' privacy and esafety, that's why we decided to start our project by involving both families and pupils in activities that can help them to understand eTwinning spirit and the importance of these issues connected to the use of the web.

AIMS:

parents will:

  • become aware of what their children are going to do with this project

  • understand their responsibility to protect their child's privacy

  • be able guide their children at the point they need

  • get the chance to observe the developmentel contributions(linguistic, intellectual, social, logical, mental) that project will provide

students will:

  • learn that the information they share online leaves a digital footprint or "trail"

  • understand why privacy online is important

  • explore what information is OK to be shared online

  • learn how to protect their privacy rights

  • reflect on their responsibilities as creators and users of creative works

  • become responsible and kind users of the web

  • be able to be concious role models for their friends

  • be able to take the rights steps at the point of their own development and the requirements of the age

We also believe that communication and sharing among partners are essential for the success of a project, that's why we shared the following project Netiquette where we summed up some rules that will help each of us to remember what is allowed and what it isn't allowed in eTwinning platfom.
