Our children were incredibly enthusiastic about playing the "Safety Rules" game online. Their faces lit up with excitement as they navigated through the various levels. We could see their confidence growing with each challenge they overcame. The game seemed to resonate with them on a personal level, as they discussed their own safety experiences and learned new ways to stay safe. It was heartwarming to witness their eagerness to apply the knowledge they gained from the game to their daily lives.
Students from 2.b Primary school Čazma, Croatia marked Safer Internet Day by reading the picture story "Jezić Iglić and the mobile phone". After reading the story, we talked about the situations the students encountered while playing games, communicating with "unknown" people, new pop-ups, advertising, impersonation... we read 5 safe tips on using the internet. We held a workshop "Balancing" CSI, on how to spend less time with digital technology. We suggested activities that we can do instead of spending several hours in front of screens. We agreed that it is important to properly allocate time both for technology and for outdoor activities. At the end of the workshop, we also conducted an evaluation.
