Countries and cities
Rita Bottari - ICS La Giustiniana, Roma
My city, for about 13 years, has been Rome. I live in the northwest district of the capital city of Italy.
According to tradition, Rome was founded on 21 April 753 BC. by Romulus (although recent excavations near Lapis niger show settlements two centuries earlier);[9][10] during its three millennia of history, it was the first metropolis of the West,[11] the beating heart of one of the most important ancient civilizations, which influenced the society, culture, language, literature, art, architecture, urban planning, civil engineering, philosophy, religion, law and customs of the following centuries. Place of origin of the Latin language, it was the capital of the ancient Roman state, which extended its dominion over the entire Mediterranean basin and much of Europe; then of the Papal State, subjected to the temporal power of the popes; then of the Kingdom of Italy from 1871 to 1946, then of the Italian Republic. By definition it is defined as the Urbe, Caput mundi and Eternal City.
LAVINIA AGRETTO - ICS LA GIUSTINIANA - ROME
I live on the outskirts of Rome, Caput mundi and the Eternal City. To be precise, Rome is divided into XV municipalities and I live in XV, a neighborhood called La Giustiniana. My neighborhood is in Roma Nord, near the Grande Raccordo Anulare, a fast road that connects the whole city and is in the protected area of Veio Park. Very important archaeological findings are often made.

MANZIANA - ROME - ITALY
I have lived for more than 30 years in Manziana, a small town on the outskirts of Rome. It stands on the volcanic reliefs that extend between the Tolfa mountains and the Sabatini mountains, north-west of Lake Bracciano, near the Mola ditch.
Manziana is famous for its forest and for "La Caldara" where you can admire the phenomenon of bubbling springs, that is, a classic example of secondary volcanism. Like all countries, it offers a variety of festivals and popular festivals.
ANNA TERESA FIORI - ICS La Giustiniana - ROME, ITALY
The neighborhood where I live, La Giustiniana, is part of the XV municipality of Rome.
It is located in the north of Rome, close to and outside the Grande Raccordo Anulare.
Area boundaries:
to the north with the districts of Isola Farnese and Prima Porta.
to the east with the area of Labaro.
to the south with the area of Nero's tomb.
to the northwest with the La Storta area.
The area is affected by the Veio Regional Park, a protected natural area located in the province of Rome and its territory forms a triangle bounded by the Via Flaminia to the east, the Via Cassia to the west and the Campagnanese province to the north. The territory refers to the so-called Agro Veientano, dominated by the Etruscan city of Veio and characterized by interesting historical, naturalistic and landscape elements.

LUCIA COZZO - ICS LA GIUSTINIANA - ROMA, ITALIA
Hi! My name is Lucia, and I want to tell you about my town, Sacrofano. It’s a small and lovely place in Italy, near Rome. It has old streets, pretty houses, and lots of nature all around.
Sacrofano has a big castle on a hill, and when you walk through the town, you can see ancient stone walls and little churches. I love playing outside because there are many trees and beautiful paths for walking. Sometimes, I see horses and other animals!
The best part? The festivals! We have delicious food, music, and fun celebrations where everyone comes together. It’s a quiet town, but it feels warm and full of history. I love living here!
Would you like to visit Sacrofano? 😊

The general area of Hınıs is surrounded by canyons, and during the spring, our streams flow with enthusiasm. Especially in the spring, everywhere is filled with greenery. During these times, having picnics with my family and friends is quite enjoyable.

GÜLAY KILINÇ-ŞEHİT MURAT DEMİRCİ ORTA OKULU-İSTANBUL-TÜRKİYE
Located in the center of the Old World, Istanbul is a very important megalopolis with its historical monuments and magnificent natural landscapes. It is the only city in the world with a sea passing through it, established on two continents where the Asian and European continents are separated by a narrow sea passage. Istanbul, which has a history of over 2500 years, became an important trade center after its establishment in this strategic region where the sea and land meet. The historical city of Istanbul is located on a peninsula surrounded on three sides by the Marmara Sea, the Bosphorus and the Golden Horn. In addition to being the capital of three empires, Istanbul is one of the few cities that has always maintained its economic center feature. Although the city was not the political capital of the new republic founded in 1923, it has always maintained its economic center feature and never lost its position that determined the fate of the country.
Tanju KURT-Namık Kemal İlkokulu-Sarıkaya-Turkey
Hi from Sarıkaya, Turkey!
Here, the Romans utilized all the thermal waters in the territories they ruled and built bathhouses on them.
One of the bathhouses they constructed is the Sarıkaya Ancient Roman Bathhouse,
which has survived to this day without significant deterioration.
The Ancient Roman Bathhouse, estimated to have been built in the 2nd century AD,
was known as "Aquae Sarvenae" during the Roman period, "Basilica Therma" in the Byzantine era,
and "Terzili Bathhouse" during the Ottoman period.
Until 2010, no serious research was conducted on the structure,
which is believed to have remained buried due to a natural disaster (flood or landslide).

Yozgat Çamlığı National Park was declared a national park in 1958. The park, which takes its name from the Anatolian Black Pine it contains, is also known as “Çamlık” among the public and is the first national park in Türkiye. According to a study conducted in 1982, Yozgat Çamlığı National Park hosts a 400-500 year old black pine species called Caucasian Pine (Pinus nigra Arn. Subsp. Pallasiana). This pine species is only found in Çamlık in Türkiye and can still produce seeds. In addition, a total of 212 plant species in 43 families and 144 genera live in Çamlık, and there are nearly 30 endemic species among them. In addition to the known animal species of Central Anatolia, golden eagles known as White Eagles and endemic to America were seen in the park until 1992. The park includes Cevdet Dündar Pond. Daily picnics, nature walks, trekking, orienteering, photo safaris, bicycle tours and various outdoor activities can be done in Yozgat Çamlığı National Park. In addition, the Nature Education Center, which includes a library, herbarium, exhibition hall and taxidermy, exhibits the wildlife and biological diversity within the borders of Yozgat province.
