Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) is an innovative approach to language teaching, where students are exposed to foreign languages while learning the content of other subjects such as history, geography, science, etc.
Description
The course aims to introduce participants to Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) principles and techniques and show them how to apply them in practice. During the course, participants will learn about the 5Cs principles of CLIL, terminology, integration of four language skills, scaffolding strategies, where to find and how to develop their own materials, assessment and much more.
The course is suitable for all educators who would like to refresh their English language skills gain practical knowledge and learn how to implement CLIL methodology in their lessons.

Learning objectives
By the end of the course, delegates will:
- Improve writing, pronunciation and reading skills in English
- Increase awareness of the current trends in CLIL
- Learn the key principles of CLIL and techniques
- Be able to find existing and develop their own material for CLIL lessons
- Be able to plan and implement CLIL lesson
- Feel confident about using CLIL methods in classrooms and teaching through a foreign language
Methodology & assessment
The course encourages the use of a creative teaching approach and includes specific sessions on integrating ICT into language teaching. It also includes sessions to develop partnership work with teachers from within Europe, as well as other activities available under the Erasmus+ Programme.
